ABOUT OUR COMMUNITY

The Greater Charlotte Eritrean American Community & Cultural Center (EACCC) is a non-profit and non-political organization based in Charlotte, North Carolina. It was established in August 2, 2023 and is officially registered under the Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)(3) in North Carolina.
The primary purpose of EACCC is to strengthen community bonds and promote the welfare of the Eritrean community in the Greater Charlotte Region and neighboring communities and states. This is achieved through various charitable and non-profit activities, including social, cultural, and educational programs. The association is dedicated to establishing networking between the Eritrean community and organizing different socio-cultural activities throughout the year. EACCC is open to all individuals and welcomes contributions and help for the community's and its members' welfare.
The outreach committee was thoughtfully selected at the meeting with a specific mission in mind. The committee's goal is to recognize and support Eritrean youth in their endeavors while simultaneously working to establish a community center that will grow, inherit, and defend Eritrea's unique cultural heritage and identity. The proposed community center is intended to serve as a cultural education and celebration hub where individuals can come together to learn, engage, and celebrate Eritrea's rich history.
